Double board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, Dr. Adam is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia. She completed her residency in anesthesiology at Emory University, and stayed on staff as an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Emory Midtown/Crawford Long Hospital. She later transitioned to Paces Plastic Surgery where she was a staff anesthesiologist, and then furthered her education by pursuing a pain fellowship at Emory. Dr. Adam has since practiced Intervention Pain Management for the last 6 years. A native of Gwinnett County, Dr. Adam has lived in Atlanta for the last 30 years. Her passion for biology and the human body started at a very young age. She was amazed at the complexity of how each organ worked together to perform such miraculous functions. It’s through this passion and understanding of the intricacies of the human body, where Dr. Adam realized that while being a pain physician she was often only treating the pain and not the underlying problem. Her passion for aesthetics and wellness grew as she further educated herself in ways to help people become healthier on the inside, like by subtly optimizing one’s hormones to achieve balanced wellness both inside and out. She believes individualized and tailored treatment is the key to healthy aging. As part of her balanced wellness, Dr. Adam enjoys being a mom of two beautiful girls, traveling, exercising, reading, and has recently taken up ballroom dancing! Dr. Adam specializes in minimizing pain with each procedure she performs.
