Celine mathew

Dr. Celine Mathew is a board certified physiatrist who is fellowship trained in Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine. Dr. Mathew received her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY. She went on to complete a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, NY. Following residency, Dr. Mathew completed an Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine fellowship at RehabNY in Amherst, NY. Dr. Mathew has training in non-surgical management of musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and orthopedic related conditions. Her training and experience in inpatient acute rehab, serving as a consultant for subacute rehab settings and work in outpatient pain management has given her a unique background and spectrum of treatment in patients of all ages and conditions. Her specialties include interventional spinal injections, electrodiagnostic medicine, and rehabilitation medicine. Dr. Mathew was driven to a career in Physiatry as a belief in a field in which we strive to best repair and restore function and health to those whose bodies may have been affected by structural or functional damage. It is Dr. Mathew’s philosophy in serving patients that by maintaining a regimen of therapeutics and exercise, the ultimate goal is to facilitate what is an inherent ability of the body to heal itself, while maximizing the capacity to preserve the fitness, health and well-being of each individual.
