Dr. Bansal is a board certified primary care physician who specializes in sports medicine.
Prior to joining Summit Spine & Joint Centers Dr. Bansal was selected to complete a sports medicine fellowship at the world renowned Boston’s Children’s Hospital-Harvard Medical School. Here, she was able to focus her interest in sports medicine on young and elite athletes.
After completing her fellowship, Dr. Bansal started the sports medicine program at the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center in Massachusetts.
Following marriage, Dr. Bansal relocated to be with her husband. She continued her journey in Kentucky, where she pioneered the concussion program and ultrasound guided joint injections at Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
Once his husband finished his fellowship they decided to set roots in Georgia. After relocating to Georgia she started ACGME approved sports medicine fellowship at Gwinnett medical center as program director of primary care sports medicine fellowship.
Dr. Bansal brings a unique skill set with her vast experience in pain management. She is a specialist in all aspects of Primary Care Sports Medicine with a special interest in ultrasound guided musculoskeletal injections.
Dr. Bansal original research has been widely published in prominent medical journals and she is frequently invited to present at national and international meetings.
In her free time, Dr. Bansal enjoys painting, dancing, hiking and yoga.
